I, Captain Zkavenjer once ruled the seven seas of olde. In all my adventures, I've collected many treasures from all the world over, battling other brave pirates; and from victory to victory, me men fought bravely with all their might! Before the sun set on our last sail and the way of the pirates drowned into the seas, all the treasures I possessed, I hid in secret places - forever forgotten. Do you think you have the heart and courage to seek these lost treasures? For There Be Treasures hidden awaiting for you to find them.

WHAT IS
"There Be Treasures" was originally conceptualized in 2002 under the name "Captain Zkavenjer’s Treasures". The game has evolved and is now called “There Be Treasures” with Captain Zkavenjer as the character logo.

“There Be Treasures” is all about fun, trivia, academics, and adventurous scavenger hunt with real prizes that promote fun learning experience and family cohesion.

- There will be certificate scroll hidden inside a container.

- The certificate scroll is the claim to the prize.

- The prize is worth $100.00USD.

- Check back to get the clues that will help lead you to the container.

- There will be 3 photos of the general vicinity where the container is hidden.

- The clues maybe hidden in the fun facts of the location.

- The clues may also involve geography, history, science, and math problems.

- Once the certificate is found, immediately contact me to claim your prize!

- The instructions and contact information are written in the certificate.

- The winner will have the option of being publicized on our website for our advertising purposes.

- The website will be updated in real time to reflect the status of the game.

- You can also call the number (will be provided later) to find out if the treasure has been found.

SAFETY
At There Be Treasures, your safety is paramount. The certificate container will not be hidden anywhere near a potentially dangerous area. You are responsible for your own safety. You will need to agree to the liability terms before proceeding to the game. Please be safe.

FUTURE PROSPECTS

Currently, the game is only available in the Seattle area. It's completely free and will be held bi-monthly at this time. The prizes are worth up to or around $100.00USD. In the future, when there are sponsors to the treasure hunts, the games will be held frequently with multiple certificates hidden in different locations beyond the Seattle area, perhaps international. The prize's value may also increase up to $500.00USD or more. Participants will also need to register for free (name, birthday, and legitimate e-mail address). All information provided will be kept confidential. An entry fee may also be required via Pay Pal, depending on the level of the treasure hunt.

THE “CAPTAIN’S HOOK”

This game is not only about being rewarded by tangible treasures but it is also a fun way to academically learn about our surroundings and with history, geography, linguistics, science, & math included in the clues, will greatly increase the feeling of personal reward. This is not a passive game, the participants will have to work and use their minds to find the treasure. With the emphasis on academics, this game will appeal to and catch the attention of the schools and family oriented organizations.

STATUS

We are currently in the process of implementing the game. The first treasure hunt will begin on October. Check back towards the end of September to get the clues to find the lost treasure!
